Zefair just posted up the commission about my Otaku Centre [link] so I thought i would write a little bit about it just in case anyone wants to know what the heck that is XD
(it's the building in the background of zefair's deviation)

Well, I am an architecture student and i was supposed to design a building for Tokyo, so i decided to design a building that caters to the needs and wants of otaku

Very very short overview of the building:
The top floor is the working area. Thus, it was made to look more mechanical. Vertical slits were used as the windows, making it slightly resemble mecha parts.
The ground floor design was inspired by the fact that anime is a kind of film industry. The walls were made to look like film wrapping around the columns. The film reel acts as the entrance to symbolize the beginning of a journey once one steps through the "reel".
Finally, the underground floor was meant to feel like a huge underground cavern found in many sci-fi anime. it would make people feel as if they have been transported to the anime dimension.
